Can your bagpiper pipe in the rain?
Many brides dream of the perfect outdoor wedding. Soft, golden sunshine filtering through the trees. Scent of fragrant flowers wafting on the breeze. Guests thinking, “What an amazingly perfect day” as the guitarist plays. When an outdoor wedding works, they can be fabulous. But guess what?
Rain happens.
I don’t care if you’ve studied weather patterns going back to the Mayan days or if you are getting married in sunny California. I don’t care if you can afford to have the clouds seeded the week before.
Rain happens and you better know if your bagpiper can pipe in not so perfect weather. Especially if you are getting married anywhere east of the Mississippi.
Here in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge we’ve had another gorgeous fall. The hills outside my office offer a cascade of gold, red and orange. With Loudoun’s two dozen vineyards and other outdoor venues, who wouldn’t want to have their wedding in the middle of such splendor? (go to page 2)
